The clasp of the prayer chain has opened and the prayer tag – with a storm of tears – hangs around a neck under a soldier's shirt on this side of the "front" line. And a prayer tag around another neck hangs, under another soldier's shirt on that side of the "front" line; with the same storm of silent tears: and all the children are supposed to be protected.
