The Problem

Absolute and sacred became the great cow they cut off my head at the feet of the cow. Absolute and sacred became the idol of wood of stone they cut off my head at the feet of the idol. Absolute and sacred became the word: something that was no longer even something and they cut off my head at the feet of nothing. Perhaps absolute and sacred they were stone and cow and word; but what need has the absolute and the sacred for my blood to be spilled on the ground?
